Our two-week “25 in 2” fundraising drive was a success! Between May 4 and May 18, we gained 16 new monthly donors. Even though we fell short of the goal of 25 new donors, we more than met the $7,500 matching gift.
Annually, the new monthly donations will total $8,818.20, which far exceeds the pledged matching gift! In addition to the newly set up monthly donations, we received several one-time donations during the drive.
Since YOU all went over and above, our matching gift donor did, too! They donated $9,205.20 to match ALL the gifts that were made during the “25 in 2” fundraising drive. That’s a grand total of $18,023.40 to support our programs and services: food pantry, clothing closet, summer meals, Community Eats! and so much more.
My husband and I decided to become monthly donors because we can see the great work SELCC implements. From the food pantry that serves people from 21 towns in four counties to the transportation programs, Meals on Wheels, swim passes, community gardens and more. Our consistent monthly donations help SELCC plan and launch new programs, as well as maintain important long-term projects. We believe in their mission and are proud to be a part of their success.
