Seasonal Programs & Activity Scholarships

Holiday Assistance

These programs include Thanksgiving & Christmas food boxes and Adopt-a-Family gifts for children. Assistance is available for  residents of Lisbon & Mount Vernon, as well as families that have students open-enrolled in Lisbon or Mount Vernon schools. Registration is required. Pool Pass Scholarships

Southeast Linn Community Center is offering scholarships for Mount Vernon Pool passes for those with financial need. Scholarships are for residents of the Lisbon and Mount Vernon school districts. A limited number of scholarships are available.  Scholarships will cover 75% of the cost and recipients will be responsible for 25%. Payments may be made via credit card, cash (exact amount only) or check. Call 319-455-2844 with questions. Donations to this scholarship fund are also welcome. Please indicate “pool pass fund” when making a donation.

Activity Scholarships

Throughout the year SELCC helps families with registration costs for Lisbon and Mount Vernon Parks and Recreation programs.  Scholarship programs are dependent on availability of funds.

LBC Scholarships

Scholarships for all ages are available for the LBC Wellness Center in Mount Vernon. SELCC can help cover the cost for a 3 month membership for a family or individual.

Summer Assistance

Free school supplies and backpacks are given to Lisbon and Mount Vernon students in late July/early August.   This distribution is open to students at Lisbon and Mount Vernon schools, students who are homeschooled or doing online school in Lisbon or Mount Vernon, and students who are open-enrolled into either district.
