Freestyle Clothing Closet is BURSTING with donations right now. Please stop in and “shop” and help us free up some space! We have 3 rooms full of FREE gently-used and new clothing for all ages. Freestyle is open to ALL members of the Lisbon & Mount Vernon community, with no income guidelines or restrictions. Come in on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00-12:00, Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:00 p.m., or throughout the week by appointment.

Seeking an energetic, fun-loving, creative individual to fill our After School Cafe Coordinator position! The hours are  3-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Do you have a Lisbon or Mount Vernon student in your home who needs help filling their school supply list this year? Come to SELCC on Friday, August 3rd for our annual school supply distribution. Free backpacks and basic supplies will be available from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Freestyle Clothing Closet will also be open for “shopping” for free gently-used clothes & accessories for all ages.

We just received a wonderful donation of freshly picked sweet corn. Stop by and get some to have with dinner! We’ll be here until 4:30 today or 9-4 tomorrow.

What a fabulous donation! We are so thankful to the Ladies Golf group for their generosity. They provided lots of fun new backpacks for our school supply distribution, and piles of snacks for our summer movies. We truly appreciate your support!

Fresh vegetables! This week we were excited to share our first garden harvest with our food pantry clients. Kale, kohlrabi, swiss chard, and zucchini grew beautifully. We look forward to providing more fresh produce throughout the summer.

If you’ve stopped  in to SELCC lately you’ve seen Nina’s works gracing our walls. Join us on Monday, June 25th  at 1:00 for an informal Q & A with Nina. Learn about her creative process and enjoy some light refreshments. 

On-going Summer Events

Free Movies! We’re partnering with Lisbon Library to show family-friendly movies every Wednesday at 1:00. Popcorn and drinks will be served to everyone in attendance. Come cool off and enjoy a fun movie! The movie for Wednesday, June 20th is the classic ‘Mary Poppins’.

After School Cafe continues on Thursdays from 2-4:30. Students ages 9 and up are welcome to join us for enrichment activities and snacks.

Wow, the Be Originals 4-H Club has been busy lately! They worked hard on a hot day to refresh the landscaping here at SELCC. The flowers look great!

This weekend they tried a new activity – a scavenger hunt through Lisbon. They collected over 200 items for the food pantry!

We are so grateful for this club’s hard work and dedication to serving our community!
