Food Pantry
- Pack food orders and assist neighbors Mondays-Fridays from 9-11am, 11am-1pm, and 1-3pm. Learn more.
- Unload truck and restock pantry Tuesdays 3-4:30pm. Learn more.
Food Pantry Delivery
- Tuesdays and Thursdays 9am and 1pm. Pick up orders at SELCC and deliver to households in Lisbon and Mount Vernon. Learn more.
Kitchen for Senior Meals
- Tuesday-Thursday 10:30-11:30am. Sort items for Meals on Wheels drivers. Learn more.
- Mondays and Fridays 10:30am-12:30pm. Sort items for Meals on Wheels and serve meals in-person to Linn Lunch Bunch. Learn more.
Meals on Wheels Delivery
- Weekdays 11:15am-12:15pm. Pick up meals at SELCC and deliver to homebound seniors in Lisbon and Mount Vernon. Learn more.
- Pass on any concerns to SELCC staff, who follow-up with participants and provide any needed help.
Transportation
- Drive neighbors to appointments in Mount Vernon, Lisbon, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, and other nearby communities. Select ride requests based on your own availability. A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance are required. Mileage reimbursement is available upon request. Learn more.
Bingo Caller
- Call Bingo on Mondays and Fridays from 10-11:30am. Learn more.
Operation Backpack
- Pick up pre-packed food bags at SELCC and deliver them to Lisbon & Mount Vernon Elementary Schools.
Community Gardens
- Assist with seasonal activities at our two community gardens. One garden is located at Seeds of Faith Lutheran Church in Lisbon; the other is at Lester Buresh Family Community Wellness Center in Mount Vernon. Contact us to learn more and get started.
